Dylan is quite the snuggle bug! He is a very sweet and loveable boy. Although Dylan has special medical needs, he is becoming more and more mobile. Dylan had surgery very recently to release the tendons in his foot and behind his knees, so he is able to walk flat-footed. He requires a lot of love and supervision. He works with many specialists, nurses, as well as physical and occupational therapists. Dylan is non-verbal, but is able to understand simple words and phrases. He enjoys playing with musical and light-up toys. He has a G-tube. Dylan has several diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, gastroesophogeal reflux disease, microcephaly, osteopenia, asthma, and seizure disorder, among others.
Dylan will do best in a two parent home that is able to provide constant supervision and has some understanding of caring for a child with medical needs. He will benefit from having a sibling with whom to play. He requires several appointments with specialists and receives additional nursing hours to assist with his care.
